Scallop Stuffie and Wedge Salad

Full disclosure, I do not like to support chain restaurants. However, this is a regional chain, like a coffee shop or a diner, not a national chain. National chain restaurants lose the control of quality of a family operation.

This “chain” had regional seafood. The items I was looking for. I had heard of stuffies, usually a quahog or large clam, with the clam meat chopped up and added to a stuffing, which is stuffed back into shell and baked. This one was scallops chopped, with stuffing, baked in a scallop shell.  Very nice. Way better than the clam stuffie ordered with the clams casino (which were not), and clam cakes ordered in Rhode Island. That was just everything made a stuffing that seemed to only have clam seasoning or broth, no actual seafood in it.

It was something different, something I could not order back home. Not something I would come back for. Glad I tried it. There will be no follow up visit.
